A Black and White Perspective on Arches National Park

One of the first things visitors notice when arriving at Arches National Park are the brilliant colors of the rock formations, especially with the contrast they provide to the blue sky. After we visited Arches National Park last month, I spent some time sorting through old pictures and stumbled upon these black and white images shot on an old Canon Rebel slr. I love how the black and white images help bring out the shapes and textures, light and shadows of the rock formations. While 99.9% of the time I prefer color images, I like these because they offer a unique perspective than what we see every day.
